CSOs working in Midland

Author: Jasper Pena

St. John’s CSOs, Claire and Lindsay, presented their water quality findings at the Loons Baseball STEM night on June 6th. Their class has been monitoring the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers. They summarized their findings to see if the water quality was fitting for their salmon (Salmon in the Classroom). The class has been taking care of salmon. The class went to Manistee Weir in September to collect their salmo0n eggs. They raised the salmon and then released the fish in the Chippewa River at the Chippewa Nature Center. The event on June 6th was sponsored by Central Michigan University and the American Chemical Society.
