As educators lesson plan and prepare daily to guide students to make decisions for themselves, Chief Science Officers continue to develop their overall intellect and self-confidence by completing Action Plans. With 7 years of program development, leeway has to be made for students to be able to step into leadership roles, including the CSO International Leadership Council.
Community organizations like Science Vortex are engaging with these leaders and the impact is incredible.
CSOs in the Verde Valley have been incredibly active since training this summer via Zoom. With opportunities to engage in STEM continue to happen around the state, these middle school students say YES and are really committed to the slogan #MakeItHappen!

Northern Arizona Chief Science Officers represent the communities of Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Lakeside.
CSO Simon recruited his brother Lian to help clean up Rainbow Lake after summer visitors and hopes to have a trash pick up event annually.
Sedona CSO Sofia traveled to Phoenix for the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation event hosted by the Arizona Technology Council!
