Strong international relationships have never been more important. Arizona’s relationship with Mexico has never been stronger. Last week, the Arizona-Mexico Commission came together with the Comisión Sonora-Arizona at the CSA/AMC Annual Meeting in Hermosillo, where three important joint agreements were signed by Governor Doug Ducey and Sonora Governor Claudia Pavlovich:

The CSA/AMC Annual Meeting was followed by a trip to Mexico City led by Governor Ducey, where he attended the inauguration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Governor Ducey and the Arizona delegation also met with business leaders and officials from the new federal administration, including Mexico’s new Ambassador to the U.S. Martha Bárcena, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, and Under Secretary for North America Jesús Seade. The trip to Mexico followed last week’s signing of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
